“It’s a new dawn, It’s a new day…”

“It’s a new dawn, It’s a new day…”

It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life for me, oooohhh
And I’m feeling good”

Happy New Year Every One!

As we step into a brand new year, let us joyously join together and remember: it is indeed, BRAND NEW!  Never before have we lived the beautiful, virgin days ahead of us.  Let us be firmly determined to SEE life in all its holiness.  We are a community of visionaries who dare to stand in what’s possible and we will not be weighed down by the past.

We enter a new day and follow the words of a wise teacher, Dr. Ernest Holmes, who said, “Take time every day to see your life as you wish it to be, make a mental picture of your ideal.  Then pass this picture over to the Law and go about your business with a calm assurance.”

And on those days where you may be surprised by events or situations, remember to Stop, Breathe, and Choose again.  Open your heart and say, “I know there is another way of seeing this.  Show me God, show me a higher view.”  God is forever making all things new, so let us take time every day to be still, and know.

This year at WVCSL we are Letting Life Expand through our own open hearts and minds.  We will also be supporting our parent organization, Centers for Spiritual Living in a year-long theme:  Timeless Wisdom, Evolutionary Vision.

Each month has been arranged with powerful sub-themes and book recommendations. If you are interested in the book titles that many of the CSL ministers will be reading this year, you can find the complete list on our website.  Several of my personal favorites have appeared on the list and I heartily recommend them to you and will be sure our bookstore has ample availability.  Some of the book titles by Ernest Holmes are:

  • This Thing Called You
  • A New Design for Living
  • Creative Mind and Success
  • Can We Talk to God
  • Living Without Fear
  • Love and Law
  • Hidden Power of the Bible

I’ll close with these grand words from the text book, Science of Mind, “The way to work is to begin right where we are and, through constantly applying ourselves to Truth, we gradually increase in wisdom and understanding.”  The consciousness of humanity is expanding gradually, day by day, one person at a time.  That’s you and that’s me finding a new rhythm in a new year.  Bright Blessings to all!

My warmest love,

Rev. Karen
